I know its the general head canon that Stan dies first (honestly so do I tbf) but I do think there is a valid argument that Ford could also die first. Like how many things would he be exposed to by just dimension hopping? Weird gasses he'd be exposed to for long periods of time, or weird and unsanitary food he'd needed to live? Not to mention other diseases or viruses? Many reasons to make it believable he could die first.
