WORST COMPANY EVER
Dear Friends,
If you care about your mental and emotional well-being, I highly suggest skipping Piccell as your choice of cell phone carrier for travel. I’ve never felt more emotionally tired and mentally drained from dealing with a company. Piccell does not care about you at all. You are only seen as short term business. There have been various accounts of their terrible service, which are conveniently listed below. I highly suggest getting a local SIM to wherever you travel. If language barriers are your primary concerns, trust me when I say this – the amount of headache you go through dealing with language barriers is miniscule compared to the amount of headache and frustration you go through when you rack up an unrealistically bizarre phone bill and have to deal with Piccell.
Here are just some of the terrible things that have happened to past users and might happen to you:
1. You dial the “Discounted Number” for international calls and it doesn’t work, so you get charged for international roaming.
2. You buy a “Euro Club” SIM card that doesn’t work, so you are still roaming.
3. You call the phone company about anything, and they say it is your fault. EVERYTHING IS YOUR FAULT.
4. You call to ask about your SIM card because it doesn’t work, and they don’t reply.
5. They try to charge you money without a bill. And send you emails that only stress you out more and more.
6. They are always right, and you are always wrong.
That letter from the CEO that they posted on their website?
Complete bullshit. They don’t care about you at all. This is just another one of their tactics to buy your trust enough so that you sign up with them.
A words of advice from a girl who has learned her lesson:
Before you do anything, google it. Seriously, if you just google “Piccell Wireless Review,” you will start to see a bunch of people saying that they had a terrible experience. If you dig a little deeper, you see that they are facing lawsuits. In the words of a good friend, “If you go looking for dirt, you’re gonna find it.” So look for it. I wish I had been smarter and did that before I signed my life off to the devil.
What really really sucks is that my school had advertised this company relentlessly, so about 80% of us are unlucky and have to go through the stress of dealing with these issues. No matter, I will make sure DIS knows.
