Cleaning the tanks was always fun because Leia got to look at the fish while doing it. She had to clean the outsides only because getting in water would be trouble. That was fine by her though. Leia managed to make even cleaning fun. She wiped the glass from side to side and made funny faces at the fish.

In the reflection of the glass, she noticed a set of green eyes looking back at her. She quickly turned around and faced her coworker. Hopefully, he didn’t see her making faces at the fish. 

After the auction had come to a rather exciting end (after all, she had guessed right and managed to win the date she was aiming for), Karina had simply texted a photo of the list of dates to Toby and asked him when he was free. She didn’t bother trying to explain her actions, she wasn’t even sure how to do so anyway.

As to where they were going, it was pretty obvious, at least to her. Sure, he was the owner of the aquarium now (and she was so proud of him for that!), but that didn’t change the fact he’d promised her a tour.

The only difference was the date tag attached to it. She really didn’t know if that changed things, but she supposed she should at least make herself look nice. Not that she expected Toby would mind no matter how she looked, but... 

Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she and Topaz headed over to the aquarium to meet with him. Although she could have met him at his apartment, since they lived only a floor apart, she figured it would be more exciting to leave him in suspense until he got there. 

Perhaps it was because of the date label, but for some reason she felt nervous as she finally arrived outside the building. Part of her wondered if he was going to think it was weird she’d bought a date with him and she glanced up at the sky thoughtfully for a brief moment before letting out a sigh. The butterflies in her stomach were really being a nuisance... 

“(As long as he doesn’t think I was just being selfish...).” she whispered, mainly to herself, but her canine companion simply looked up at her with a wagging tail, almost looking to smile at her. It was contagious enough and a small smile returned to Karina’s face, just in time for Topaz’s ears to raise up and his head to turn in the opposite direction as he walked a few paces forward.

As expected, when Karina’s emerald gaze looked up, she saw the person she was waiting for and she smiled almost shyly as she held up a hand in greeting.

“Good morning! (You made it!)”

Tina was on autopilot. She’d been delivering mail for the past few hours and had lost interest. It was starting to get cold so there were less people wandering the streets, making it less fun to run around the streets. She loved seeing people and greeting friends and acquaintances! It always kept things exciting.

But not today. She hadn’t seen a single friend or anyone very interesting.

“AllyyyyyOOP!” Tina shouted as she chucked a package. She’d checked and it didn’t say fragile so surely a toss would be fine.

She’d been in House Delivery Mode and not Apartment Delivery Mode. And this was an apartment. So that was a mistake. Apartment mail gets taken inside to each individual apartment not just chucked onto the porch! Oops. Tina went to go pick up the package.

But.

Fudge.

It was on the roof. How had she thrown the package onto the roof???? Even if she jumped she couldn’t reach it. What was she going to do?

Coincidentally, the person the package was for had just exited the building.

“Toby!” Tina shouted, she knew him from delivering packages but nothing more than that. She thinks he liked fishing.

“I’m sorry I threw your package on the roof!”
