Studying physics and clearly one of the authors of my textbook is a Star Trek fan:
That being said, they had to alter things to avoid copyright and it makes me crack up for some reason.
"Generation Next" "Starbase Faraway Point" (I choose to see this as a reference to Farpoint Station, although I have no idea if this was intentional.)
They also had to give the Enterprise a Roman numeral designation, because I'm pretty sure the Enterprise-D is trademarked:
(Also, Endor is a planet from Star Wars. Traveling between universes, I presume?)
However, I saw the ship names Picard and La Forge and thought, "rightfully so!"
I love how optimistic physicists are putting graviton on here
like yeah. hang on to hope guys. hang on to the hope that the one thing you need to solve physics is there and real. i wish you luck searching inside black holes and cooling metal pipes to stupidly cold degrees.
Legendre transform?
hell yeah i love transing le genders
[trying to do basic math and failing] I'M GOING TO -[remembers self obliteration jokes are detrimental to ur mental and physical wellbeing]CATCH A FROG AND RAISE HIM AS MY OWN AND HE WILL BECOME A PARTICLE PHYSICIST

today’s study affirmations:
- do it or don’t, the time will pass anyways
- avoiding failure avoids success
- hard doesn’t mean impossible
It would be interesting to see the link between how mathematicians think about tensors and how physicists think about tensors. Of course physicists usually mean tensor fields which is all well and good but I've still not seen the relationship between how the formal definition as smooth sections of tensor bundles and the whole "a tensor is something that transforms like a tensor" thing
Not me being cooked so much from studying I see 50 Kms-1 and I read it as 50 kill my self per second.
