Just a quick thought: Deal with it!
For the past year, I have been receiving, how do I call it, counter compliments? (if there's such thing/word, you'll know what I mean) regarding my hair. A lot have been telling me: Mas bagay sayo mahaba yung buhok at itim ang buhok. (You look better with long hair, and black hair.) I am even having it trimmed regularly when I feel like it's already touching the part where my cervical spine is so I'm not really letting it grow long.
It's been more than a year that I sported this above-shoulder-length hair and I'm really digging it. Screw it, guys. I'm dying to stay with this look for a while --- with the short hair and the reddish brown hair! Why? I haven't had this haircut since elementary and I feel juvenile about having my hair short. Plus I never had hair color in my life, ever so I decided why not take a risk. I like the idea of me being a brunette or a redhead anyway.
These changes I did over the past year (except for my body!) had built my confidence and nourished the creativity in everything I have within me. I feel like I was a different person and that I have a different perspective. Probably, the reason a lot of ladies had their haircut after a painful break up to start fresh with a positive outlook and a different perspective as I have said earlier. (Well, in my case, I just like the change!)
I may sound a little or too over-confident, but I do feel attractive with this physical change with my hair because I feel different from any other girls which guys look up to---long hair, black, skinny. So that I would know anyone who finds me attractive, the exact opposite of what men find physically attractive in a woman, is a total keeper.
Deal with the changes in me physically, mentally and emotionally.
