Yesterday I wrote about feeling radiance at my face during my Biodynamic Meditation. I shared that in Craniosacral Biodynamics (in which Biodynamic Meditation is rooted), we recognize an energy that comes from far away, over the horizon and possibly from outside the earth’s field. I’m repeating that image today. The sensations that we sense in our physical body are local — activities of our nervous systems. We also have an energy body that includes our physical body and extends away from it — anywhere from a few inches out to quite a distance out. The chakras and the meridians are structures in the body that have some basis in the physical body — in endocrine glands, curves in the spine, fascia. I consider these sensations of chakras and meridians to be local, to be both physical and energetic. The energy I wrote of yesterday, the radiance I feel at my face, comes from far away, from over the horizon and possibly from much farther. It’s definitely not local energy. When you practice Biodynamic Meditation, try widening your awareness from your physical body to a few inches out. Notice what you notice. Keep widening your awareness to an arm’s width out. Stay there and notice what you notice. You can gradually widen awareness to include the room you are in, and beyond. Notice what phenomena you perceive when you widen.
