Golden Poison Frog (Phyllobates terribilis)

Striped Poison-dart frog (Phyllobates lugubris) male carrying some of its own tadpoles to a suitable rearing pool into the rainforest. This species shows uniparental male care, so only the father cares for the eggs and tadpoles while they’re developing into very small water reservoirs into the rainforest. These poison dart frogs are all in the genus Phyllobates, which are some of the most toxic of the dendrobatids. However, these ones are entirely safe to handle being made only of glass beads and wire.
