Lol I do have stock in 4Phu/Phu4 (not as much stock as some others but certainly enough to make a great soup). This won't be as citation-heavy as some others that I felt I needed to really sell, cuz, as you said, there are quite a few people shipping them, so you can easily go look up clips yourself :) And, in fact, Fourth has directly asked fans not to ship them (contradicting himself as you’ll see), so, as always, this isn't about making demands on or accusing the actors of anything. It's just some fun speculation between us tumblrinas.

As told by the actors themselves, their origin story involved Phuwin walking into the rehearsals of the new young gmmtv trainees who got in through the School Star competition (which Fourth won, but Gemini, Satang, and Ford were all hired right after, and Santa also participated in before getting scooped up by Wabi Sabi). Phuwin was excited to have people actually his age at the company and asked point-blank if they'd be his friend. Phuwin, Fourth, and Satang formed what they called the Lonely Gang, because they lived near each other and would call one another up to hang out when they were lonely. They chill out, work on music (check out this 4Phu duet or the fact that Fourth has a writing credit on one of Phuwin's official osngs). They have plenty of fun lives together, and continue to hang out every once in a while. But they're friendship is hella deep. Phuwin and Satang were whatever the equivalent of ushers is in Thailand at the funeral for Fourth's father. (Just for perspective balance, Fourth just seems to have very intense friendships in general. He cried while talking about his love for his high school friends on a gmmtv variety show.)

Fourth and Phuwin also have gotten to spend a lot of professional time together with their work for Tommy Hilfiger, which they do as a quadrangle with their CP partners. The silliest you'll see any of them is when they're together as a foursome. And over the past 6 months or so, Phuwin and Fourth were also working on the Scarlet Heart together.

Lots of legitimate reasons to hang out. So why do people think they might be dating on top of all that. I can't speak for everyone, but...

They do a lot of skinship together, more than either of them do with their CP. Some of it playful and performative, some of it casual. And that's something Phuwin has been open about not using as an inauthentic marketing tool. (holding each other, and see the first link in point 2 for wrestling and cheek kisses). Fourth also specifically seems to have a thing for Phuwin’s ass.

Fourth invented the ghost ship and has brought it up a couple times since--he's a menace always but you have to wonder if he's having fun with the fans by fucking with their ships or with his boo thing by how close he comes to outing things.

They talk about each other all the time in interviews.

Fourth’s mom is close with the whole lonely gang and has talked about Phuwin on multiple occasions. Here’s her with Phuwin at an event. and didn’t directly mention Phuwin when she mentioned that Fourth bought a new air purifier right after Phuwin was reported having an allergy attack lol.

Sometimes, 4th being the biggest PondPhuwin shipper in the universe feels like a cover-up

I sometimes wonder if they're offering a discounted price to do G4 + PPw events with how often the most expensive CPs at the company are at events together.

My thing about Fourth and Phuwin is that neither of them are clockable to my gaydar--which means nothing about the truth of their sexualities as I've explained elsewhere. I can and have done other kinds of checks and balances to see where they might be falling lol. However, the lack of vibes renders more questions marks to the quality of the skinship and interactions. I really do believe in and support deep friendships between guys with love, rough-housing, teasing, gay chicken, and constant, meaningful companionship. Personally, I don't have a good read on which side of the friend zone Phu4 fall, and I think that ambiguity's beautiful.
