This photo was taken at about 660mm and I could have taken this picture in a couple of ways. I could have 1) taken this photo natively at 400mm on my 100-400mm lens, and cropped to get this result, or 2) I could have used my 2x teleconverter on my 100-400mm to get to 660mm without cropping. . The difference? Using 2), my f-stop is limited to f/11 and above, which means I need to rely on my ISO to get the exposure I’m looking for yielding a little more grain in my image. . If I used method 1) I could have used a much lower ISO but resulting in a smaller resolution image. . Which method would you use? .
