Ever since midnight, his mind had been all over the place; wild emotions from all across the spectrum flooding in. They weren't his feelings, but there was something about; something about Rin...
And it wasn't anything specific, but an overwhelming sensation about the day. Christmas had just been and passed, the New Year was upon Concordium, but the present day had something significant to it.
Busying himself in the kitchen; Aichi had tried for hours to get the project just right. But his skills when it came to cooking fell far short of anything desirable; even if he had trouble with putting together meals, he'd tried to get something moderately decent in lieu of the recipe penned in the book laying on the cluttered work surface.
When he'd pulled it out of the sweltering oven, recoiling from the heat momentarily, before removing the object in question, it was onto the final touches. Although there was only so far improvisation could go. There weren't candles. And it wasn't as though he could just use matches as substitutes.
Well... he'd tried. Setting the concoction onto a decent-sized tray, Aichi made the journey back from where he'd started to 2-E, his knuckles knocking against the door to gain access from a roommate and crept into the room the two of them shared, where the target resided.
Given the fluxing sensations that ravaged him through the day, perhaps this could give the other some peace. Presenting the offering to the dark-haired occupant, his lips smiled into a curve.
"Something told me that today was important to you. And I could be wrong, but I wanted to try so you didn't miss it.
Happy birthday, Rin-kun".
