"If the world was ending you'd come over, right?"
PhinksxFemreader PhinksHC
The streets were filled with panicked people; screams replacing the busy sound of horns and chatter that usually made up the voice of the city.
Phinks pushed through the crowds of people, holding himself from going on a killing spree.
Focus, idiot! I'll never make it if I do that.
Memories played through his head as he ran.
Moments he thought he would have forgotten by now making him realize that there was someone he would never be able to forget.
What if she wasn't home? Or worse-- what if she wasn't alone?
He shook his head. None of that mattered anymore.
The world he knew was ending. Even the powers of the seemingly unstoppable Chrollo were rendered useless in this situation.
The Meteor was headed for Earth, and was large enough that it would destroy everything.
Phinks chuckled to himself despite the chaos-- a sick joke running through his head.
The whole world will be "Meteor City".
His smile dropped when he noticed a familiar woman running towards him.
"Y/N--"
He growled as he moved her aside.
It wasn't her.
I need to make it!
The blonde man caught his breath when he reached her small house.
The place he used to call home.
He kicked the door down, his panic growing when he noticed that all the lights were off.
"Y/N!" He continued to look around. "Y/N! It's....it's me! Are you here?!"
He ran to the fridge, remembering how she would leave him notes if she ever left the house before he woke up.
His heart began to race as he unpeeled a cake shaped sticky note from the fridge.
"Hey, if you're reading this--meet me at "our" Park."
Phinks quickly ran out the door, knowing exactly where she was referring to.
"Phinks..." her fingers slowly dug into the grass as she sat back to look up at the moon.
The blonde haired man smiled at her sadly, having just told her about the group he had joined...and how it meant they could no longer be together.
"What's up?"
His heart made its way up to his throat as he realized this would be the last time they'd ever be like this.
She slowly moved her hands closer to his.
"Since you're leaving me...could you at least promise me something?"
Phinks nodded. "Anything."
A part of him wanted her to beg for him to stay, even though he couldn't. As much as he wanted to-- it wouldn't be fair to her.
He just wanted to feel that he was needed by her one last time...
She placed her hand on top of his gently, her gaze still focused on the sky.
"If the world was ending--"
---
Phinks looked around the park frantically.
Dammit where is she?!
A small gasp escaped from his mouth when he finally found her, standing against the sky.
The park was quiet, as it was the last place anyone wanted to be right now.
The moonlight seemed to shine directly on her, illuminating her white dress.
She turned to face him, her face hidden behind a long veil as a tear dropped from the corner of her eye.
"Phinks."
He ran to her as quickly as he could, not noticing how close the Meteor now was.
He held her hands as he faced her, invigorated by being in her presence.
She chuckled quietly, not wanting to break eye contact.
"You've always been so bad at remembering things. I'm surprised you even remembered your promise."
Phinks moved his hand behind her veil to touch her cheek. "To me, it was always just a matter of time."
She continued to laugh. "What if someone else decided to marry me before you, hm?"
Phinks stroked her cheek with his thumb. "I'd kill them." He gently lifted her veil, moving it behind her head. "You're mine."
She pulled out 2 gold rings from her bra, handing the smaller one to Phinks.
He laughed as he looked at the ring. The world was ending, but he couldn't remember the last time he had felt this happy.
"Do you, Y/N, take me, Phinks to be your..um...awfully wedded husband?"
Y/N tried to stifle her laugh as she nodded. "I do."
Phinks moved the ring onto her wedding finger.
"Then, do you, Phinks, take me Y/N to be your lawfully wedded wife?"
He bit his lip as he gave her a small spank. "You bet your ass I do!"
Phinks lifted Y/N up as soon as she slipped the ring onto his finger, his lips meeting hers as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
Their lips remained together as Phinks lowered his bride onto the grass, following on top of her as he removed his top.
"Let's make this official before it's too late."
He tore her dress into pieces, leaving her naked on the ground beneath him.
"You're mine. No one else will ever have you."
--
Phinks laid on his back as he held one arm behind his head, and placed the other around his new wife's waist as she laid on his chest.
The Meteor was mere seconds away from crashing into the Earth, its flames causing the temperature to rise drastically.
Phinks smiled as he looked down at Y/N, pulling her closer to him.
He closed his eyes to kiss her before staring at her once again.
The world ending isn’t as bad as I thought it’d be...
