We alchemical occultists really have our own way of doing things. 🤣
I have honestly done so much to myself in short timeframes to crack myself straight into multiple amplified different states.
But, I've done this since childhood.
But also, it's imperative to note I'm not shutting up. 😂
I was thinking. I know it's a dangerous past time, but hear me out. Spoilers for the manga and Brotherhood below!
Hohenheim told Izumi "I can't bring [your organs] back". Not "I won't". It's, of course, possible that he meant it more to mean "I won't", but I'm not sure it's fair to assume that without also accepting he meant it literally.
Hohenheim is a living philosopher's stone, and a near perfect one ("perfect" meaning he has a lot of souls/energy). Literally nothing should be beyond his abilities. If a normal philosopher's stone can do it, then he can, too.
So if he literally could not bring back Izumi's organs.... Or at least make news ones.....
Does that mean a philosopher's stone wouldn't have even been enough to bring Al's body back?
Does that mean Marcoh's philosopher's stone wouldn't be enough to restore Roy's sight?
Cause ... I don't hate that idea, honestly. That the payment for trying to solve the unsolvable with alchemy is something that can only be bought back by sacrificing alchemy altogether.
(I mean, I hate it in Roy's case, cause he didn't even ask for it. But for those who did try human transmutation voluntarily, I think it's poetic.)
But now I wonder what that means for Roy. Would he give up alchemy for his sight? ... I honestly don't know.
Just a thought!
