THAT’S A TOUGHIE because lise wants so many things. I mean we all know what finally blows her jar of intentions but life has been pretty damn unfair to her. 

Years 1-3 she would see herself with her family, reunited. Her mother alive, she and her sisters all getting along and happy. Her father is markedly absent. 

Years 4-6 she would see herself and Phillip, together. She takes him just as he is and there’s no fear or apprehension in her eyes as she turns him towards him and kisses him gently. She’s normal. Maybe Ariadne’s in there somewhere giving her blessing. I don’t think Lise ever gets over losing her one decent parent. 

Somewhere along the line she’d see herself standing over her father’s dead body, but that’s a fantasy she gives up on easily because he just seems so powerful over her and he’s got her mixed up in all his mind-games and she develops this learned helplessness about her, even if she does refuse to show it to the world.
