Endlich konnte nach langer Zeit mal wieder ein Konzert mit Publikum stattfinden. Der Schweizer Blues-Musiker Philipp Fankhauser gastierte mit seinem nunmehr sechzehntes Album «Let Life Flow», am Freitagabend auf der Bühne des Colos Saal, Aschaffenburg. Er gab an diesem Abend COVID-19 bedingt zwei Konzerte, da aufgrund der Hygieneregel leider nur eine begrenzte Anzahl von Zuschauern in die Räumlichkeiten konnte. Vorweggenommen kann gesagt werden, dass das Konzert fantastisch war. Die Akustik und damit die Soundqualität waren sehr gut. Die Stimme von Philipp Fankhauser klingt mal tief, sanft, oder rauchig, aber immer auf den Punkt und sie ist meines Erachtens live sogar noch ein wenig besser als auf seinem Album. Doch es ist nicht seine Stimme, die die Musik ausmacht. Auch das Bandmitglied Marco Jencarelli begeistert mit groovigen Begleitrhythmen und auf den Punkt gebrachten Gitarrensoli, aber auch Hendrix Ackle am Keyboard und an der Hammond-Orgel leistet seinen nicht geringen Beitrag zum typischen «Fankhauser-Sound». Darüber hinaus begeistern Richard Spooner am Schlagzeug und der Bassisten Andy Tolman der Band. Die Beiden spielend die Songs stets groovig, rhythmisch geben der Band damit einen Boden unbändiger Spielfreude.

Finally, after a long time, a concert with an audience could take place again. The Swiss Blues musician Philipp Fankhauser gave a guest performance with his now sixteenth album "Let Life Flow", on Friday evening on the stage of the Colos Saal, Aschaffenburg. He gave two concerts on this evening COVID-19 conditionally, because due to the hygiene rules unfortunately only a limited number of people could enter the premises. In advance it can be said that the concert was fantastic. The acoustics and therefore the sound quality were very good. The voice of Philipp Fankhauser sounds sometimes deep, soft, or smoky, but always to the point and in my opinion it is even a little better live than on his album. But it is not his voice that makes the music. Also the band member Marco Jencarelli inspires with groovy accompanying rhythms and guitar solos brought to the point, but also Hendrix Ackle on keyboard and the Hammond organ makes his not small contribution to the typical "Fankhauser sound". In addition, Richard Spooner on drums and the band's bassist Andy Tolman inspire. Both playing the songs always groovy, rhythmically they give the band a ground of unrestrained joy of playing.
