We also laud the effort of our climate change champions in the Senate and in the Cabinet for paving the way towards the ratification of this climate deal. This proves the country's steadfast leadership in climate change discourse and in promoting climate justice especially for the most vulnerable sectors such as children and youth. For the Filipino youth, ratifying the Paris Agreement is an assurance that the country is aligned with the whole world in securing a healthier environment and a more resilient and sustainable future. Moreover, for the Filipino youth, the 1.5 degrees Celsius global warming limit is not just a mere political target but a representation of hope for this generation and those yet to come. We are thankful that the Philippine Government has amplified our collective voice.
