Blue Box was cool but just not useful to me. Easily four different sounds in one two knob box though. Jimmy Page, Sonic Youth, Billy Corgan, Neurosis. Has a very gated NES on/off sound. There’s almost no decay, notes just choke off. Can be cool, but doesn’t fit anywhere for me. I did get a thrill out of playing the opening to Metal Gear 2 through this with some flange and delay. $50
Super Comp is a killer. Got me into compression and now I can’t live without it. I just picked up a cool older compressor that evens out volume differences between my DOD 250 and RAT perfectly while giving me the same squish. I’m like Bob Mould, compression always on. Articulate, good sustain, kind of drivey. I used it almost as a boost. The slight grit you get from pushing the sensitivity on this pedal will be the main thing I miss about this pedal, but hopefully I can find a boost that scratches that itch. This one will be missed but want to send this one on down the trail to somebody else that can use it. Like Shane, he’s there when you need him. $70
Phasor 201. 2 stage phaser, basically new. I’ve got the box, I’ll even mail ya the sticker that came with it. Swirly, subtle blanket of phase shifting. Sounded great in front of distortion but terrible after. I prefer chorus for subtle modulation and flange for the extreme because they gain more harmonic richness after dirt. I’ve tried a few different phasers and they just don’t vibe with me. I’d come back to this one though if I decide I need one. $50
