My thoughts on the phatreon
Youtube is horrendous, every YouTuber I watch has talked about the difficult censorship and demonetization. DnP said it themselves, their videos are getting suppressed by the algorithm and aren’t shown on restricted mode. In order to keep making us free content they have to make a living, so I’m more than happy to support them on patreon. In fact I got patreon just to do that. BUT IM LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE THE DISPOSABLE INCOME! As Jarvis and Jordan of the Sad Boyz pod would say: discretionary entertainment spending ONLY!
I’m aware so many people are living paycheck to paycheck so having content you love be behind a paywall can be devastating, but there will be free content. There will be more podcast eps, more videos, more posts, free livestreams on the patreon, etc.
I honestly think them starting the phatreon is gonna elevate their free content as they’ll have a bigger budget & be able to get the help they deserve (shout out to their pod producers).
