pls talk some more abt your far from home experience.. ive seen no one else talk abt it yet but i thought it was really charming!
hi!!! okay im back on my laptop so i can properly tag my answer anyway at this point be warned for spider-man: far from home spoilers !!
i ended up liking the movie a LOOOT more than i thought i was going to!!! i went in with few expectations and it was actually a lot of fun? it felt like a spider-man movie meant for the younger millenial/gen-z age group!! i liked the story of this movie, though i thought i wasn’t going to. it finally felt like a spider-man peter parker story to me instead of stealing from other characters, primarily miles (though the whole replacing iron man did steal from riri ofc)
putting spider-man outside of new york was something i was vehemently against but it ended up kind of refreshing and added more tension to peter (until they decided like fuck it which i thought was dumb but lol). peter and mj were super cute. i felt like they shouldve just had peter like mj from the start? cause it went from liz liz liz to mj mj mj and we didnt see what brought them together from homecoming to far from home so... also ned was so cute this movie, though i wish he had as much of a part in this movie like the first one. didnt care for happy. loved aunt may and fury.
NOW MYSTERIO is literally a perfect villain and hes probably one of the reasons why this felt like a spider-man movie to me. obviously, since he’s a peter parker spidey villain, but in the mcu he brought a level of ridiculousness and crazy shit that what makes spidey villains so memorable to me! they’re fun! they’re ridiculous! extra as fuck! spidey’s villains are fun!!!! and i think mysterio translated well from comics to the movie.. my favorite fight was the one where mysterio literally beats down on peter and i felt as confused and disorientated as peter did in that scene... the visuals for this movie were so good......
of course i have my complains but i’ll save them for another post cause im on a spider-man high! and i genuinely enjoyed the movie more than i disliked it :~))))))
