Along the shoreline, not a sign of life were there. not even the seagulls did cry; the voice of the ocean alone preventing absolute silence. The boardwalk, stretched proudly above the waves at one time had fallen, riding the surface as little more than boards and splinters, the attractions sunken and lights eternally sleeping. Ordinarily, the quiet of autumn on the seafront was pleasant, but no such sensation could be felt, not with the wasteland endless.
"It appears there are no survivors. If optimistic, we can assume the civilians evacuated, however, I dread to imagine what fate befell them had there been no chance. is there any movement of those creatures? We should keep moving if the coast is clear”.
