Jane lay on her back, her head resting on her balled up jacket, as she stared up at the stars above her. 20. Upside-down Kiss
When she's at her wits end with the progress of her research she ends up upside down. It doesn't usually help. Blood rushing to her head and her head feeling full and somewhat heavy does nothing but her father used to swear up and down that doing different kinds of yoga poses was the key to unlocking the brain's ability to find solutions.
Jane does downward dog. Then she does a warrior pose. Then she tries to do a thing where she is sort of standing on her head but then she gives up on the progress of that too and ends up lounging sideways across the deck chairs they keep on the roof.
Blood rushes to her head but solutions do not.
That's when Loki finds her.
He's good about knowing what she needs when she doesn't even know what she needs so when he sits cross legged where she hangs her head Jane feels a pinch of hope that he got some sort of answer while she was up here doing shoddy yoga poses.
"What is it? Did you figure it out? You did it, didn't you, I knew you would, you alw-"
The kiss isn't what makes her cheeks pink. She swears it, refuses to think otherwise. She says it's the blood rushing to her head, damn it, but he knows she is lying and she knows she is lying and then he kisses her again, slower, fuller, until she sighs so pretty and twists to lay on her belly instead.
"It'll come," he promises. Then he's standing up and leaving her pink cheeked and staring as he heads back down into the lab.
When she's at her wits end with the progress of her research she ends up upside down, but then Loki kisses her once, twice, and answers seem to blossom like late blooming flowers, big and wonderful.

☂ for something my muse wants to protect
As absurd as it sounds, Selina wants to protect Loki. Both emotionally and physically. She loves him dearly, and knows some of the pain that he carries, and the conflict that's inside of him. She knows he doesn't need protecting physically, and certainly not by her, but she'd do it anyway. She'd put herself between him and harm easily. Against anything. And she would hold him in the darkest nights to ensure the nightmares didn't come.
