Supplement 1: The one they call “Phantom Hawk”
Ever since the proliferation of firearms in the nation of Sabine, many have taken up arms in the hopes of modernizing the battlefield.
Up until a decade ago, battles and skirmishes were fought with bayonets, spears, swords, hammers, and other primitive weapons. It was only recently did firearms become adopted by a growing percentage of the Creaden in Sabine.
The Creaden people were quick to adopt new technology whenever it was available. Trains, light bulbs, and rudimentary telephones were all met with great approval and quick spread. Guns were no different. However, these guns were still basic in nature: very few, if any, could be fired semi-automatically.Â
The most common types of firearms include flintlock rifles, bolt action rifles, and basic pistols. Flintlock style weapons were growing obsolete as guns became more complex faster and faster, thanks to growing unease in the political climate.
The most important advantage newer weapons have over those of the flintlock variety is their speed. Flintlock weapons can only fire once before needing to be reloaded, which could take at least a minute. Bolt action rifles can hold multiple rounds and reload much, much faster.
That’s not to say there aren’t enthusiasts who don’t like all kinds of firearms, especially rifles with scopes. One such enthusiast is Yori Bellevoir.

Her ability to fire accurately with any weapon given to her was unparalleled. She could hit targets as far as half a kilometer without a scope, double if she had one. She was approached at the age of 19 to join Propietra City’s standing army as a specialized sniper.
Taking up the offer, Yori quickly honed her talents for sniping. She gained a reputation around the city, being called “Phantom Hawk” affectionately. Many of her colleagues and fellow trainees marveled at her ability to find optimal sniping positions and land accurate hits more often than not.Â
Though she has never killed anyone before, she feels she will have little to no hesitation should the need arise. After all, she wants to save the lives of her fellow countrypeople. If someone were to attack her, her friends, or anyone else innocent, Yori feels she could pull the trigger.
Her superiors always told her that aiming would never be an issue for her. She had bigger problems to worry about than just being able to line up a shot.
Taking it is another story.
