Okay, so I imagine Jin Zixuan would be the lead singer and dancer — like he’s the one with the most refined talent, as a former child star, and he’s the only one who doesn’t really start off on good terms with the other boys. In fact, he’s a little miffed that he’s being paired off with a group of “amateurs”, but boy bands are the current craze, and the others do have potential, so he reluctantly agrees

(Not to mention, Jin Zixuan is engaged to Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian’s sister, so he decides to give them a chance)

Wei Wuxian is the only one I can see rapping, so yeah, he’d probably rap a few verses in their songs. His dancing is a lot more modern and borderline risqué compared to the other boys, so he often has solo dance scenes in music videos. Due to his flirty nature, he’s the one most often shipped with the others, and he even encourages this, because he likes the attention. The only pairing he’s vocally against, of course, is him and Jiang Cheng. Though they’re not blood related, he reminds his fans that he thinks of him as his baby brother

(Being called a baby always pisses Jiang Cheng off, of course, since they’re only five days apart in age, but Wei Wuxian always talks about him as though Jiang Cheng were still a child)

Wen Ning has the highest pitch, so he’s known for his angelic voice, which works really well for emotional ballads and love songs, so he often takes the lead in those. However, it takes him a while to get at this point, because he’s naturally shy and content to just sing backup vocals. Some fans don’t like his “pure boy” act, but many others talk about him as though he’s an actual disciple of heaven

Nie Huaisang is known for his fashion sense, because he’s always on top of the latest trends, even before they’re popular. For that reason, people either hate him or love him. He often has the most costume changes in music videos, to show off his love of fashion. He and Wei Wuxian are also known bffs in real life, and so they often have duet sections where Wei Wuxian is rapping while Nie Huaisang is singing background vocals

And Jiang Cheng has the deepest vocals and he’s known for his strong voice, which gets pleasantly rough when he belts out emotionally charged lyrics. He’s known as the guy most likely to make the girls cry, both because of his emotionally rich songs, and because of his moody personality. He’s certainly the most unapproachable of all the guys
