Shame they didn't done any more befriendable bosses in the Yo Kai Watch series. So here are some boss yo kai, that don't have befriendable forms, but would be neat to befriend.
Second out of the 3 Boss Yo-kai medals I made: Phantasmurai!
Ngl, can I say that this Yo-kai is very underrated? Like the concept of a samurai armor Yo-kai controlled by a mouse is so cool! Although I personally prefer the interpretation that both armor and the mouse are sentient, but them being together makes them stronger (similar to Rosetta Stone).
As for the medal itself, I'm not sure how easy it is to tell, but it takes place in the Gourd Pond Museum where you fight the Boss itself. The flash-lights are patrolling the museum, so the mouse is trying to not get spotted by them (it's implied humans can see it since Eddie could tell it was a mouse) while the armor is standing as still as it can. Aside from that, there's nothing much aside from the security lasers.
As for the lighting on the medal, I was unsure how to do it while trying to stay as true to the artstyle as possible, but thankfully Hidabat's medals helped with that!
Oh and also, the mouse having the pattern on it because it's hiding is a reference to Dimmy's medal! Where he's literally trying to blend in with the background.
And one last note, Phantasmurai technically has 2 tribes: Brave (from WibWob/Puni) and Shady (from World). I ended up picking Brave without much thought, but recently I've been wondering if Shady would fit better due to the motif it has of hiding its "true" identity" (like Slimamander or Doescalibur or even Usapyon). And I think that's all! Tomorrow I'll post the 3rd and last Boss Yo-kai medal I made!^^
Today's mouse is the mouse that controls Phantasmurai from Yo-kai Watch!

Look at this great pic I commissioned from phantasmurai on twitter. It’s of my yet-to-be-named sparkledog OC, he’s a barista! (Design by halloyeen.)
