Shrugging her shoulders in a you never know kind of way. Like she’d said, Hollywood types were weird. You never knew what the hell they were up to. But the more time that past Phaedra knew that the chances of finding that guy alive were growing small. Knew full well how that would weigh on the shoulders of this man in front of her. He took things to heart, took responsibility for things. She can see the war waging behind his eyes as they drift away from her for a moment. Eyes soften at his words. Jackson always had this way of reading her mind. She blamed the cop in him. Able to pick up on the most subtle of facial expressions and draw conclusions from them.
