If JVR keeps putting up the numbers that he is right now they will totally protect him over Jake in a heart beat, because his contract is huge too so Seattle taking him off our hands will definitely help too. But there is a lot of possible options that could happen, it’s going to be an interesting off season with the expansion draft and off season signings.

They could totally take Gus or even Hagg too, it all depends where we fall on the list and what Seattle needs at that time of the pick. I feel like JVR is a wild card though, depending on how he finishes the season with us will depend if he is going to be protected by us or not and same goes for Patrick too. Myers they’ll protect. He signed a multi year contract and he’s young. They’ll protect him, sanheim and prov on the back end. Yeah with the way Ghost is playing right now, his value is going up so you never know with him he could be dealt in a trade or wait until the draft. I feel like if he didn’t start the season on the Covid protocol list he would have been traded by now.
I agree with 99% of what you said but there's no way we're protecting JVR. He's too big of a cap hit I think we'd have to make a deal with Seattle TO take him, so there's no danger in just leaving him exposed.

yeah, honestly, i feel like this goes way deeper than losing nisky. losing him was just the catalyst for all this mess. maybe the condensed schedule is really taking a toll on the players, or there's something going on with management, but we need to fix it. it's honestly painful seeing a team like the flyers, who have proved themselves to be a fully capable team, play like utter shit :(

Yea I hate to say it but I'm starting to lose hope for this season. Like we came in with sky high expectations and what have we been met with? A horrible defense, a lackluster powerplay, bottom 10 penalty kill, questionable goaltending, underwhelming shot totals (although they're starting to fix this one), and a grueling schedule with no time to correct. I know they can do better under ideal circumstances but this is far from ideal...
