It’s hard to believe, and frankly makes me feel incredibly old, but “Scream 2” was released this day 20 years ago. I remember going to the midnight screening at the Oswego Theater and having to wait out in the cold in a line that stretched back half a block with my brother, sister and friend Ben in tow. When inside, there were a bunch of trailers that preceded the feature including one for the Kevin Costner film “The Postman”. I recall a man laughing loudly during this. Years later, when recounting this story to a friend, I find out it was the friend I was telling the story to. That particular night became a formative event in my movie viewing history. When the film came out on VHS, I even used it as a kind of study tool for my freshmen finals. The movie will always hold a special place in my heart, as lame as it sounds. Happy 20th, “Scream 2”! #scream2 #1997 #wescraven #nevecampbell #davidarquette #courtneycox #jamiekennedy #jerryoconnell #timothyolyphant #omarepps #jadapinkettsmith #lauriemetcalf #kevinwilliamson #peterdeming #marcobeltrami #eliseneal #sarahmichellegellar (at La Casa De Sweeney)
