Arthur hesitated. His brows furrowed, his entire body tense now that he was being directly asked about it. He let the silence stretch out for a long moment. He didn't even know if Parker had the relative possibility to like Arthur back. I mean, chances are, he'd figure out he was a homosexual and cut him off completely. That's what most people would do. Some would even shoot him dead, with how things were.
But.. He trusted that Parker would be a bit more tolerant. They've known each other for so long, and he's helped him through so much.. This couldn't be where he drew the line, right? “...How would you react if… if they weren't a lady..?” He finally got out, forcing his gaze down at the street. The silence afterward made him nervous.
