‱ â- @floweredfaeââ & I plotted a thing...
Uma wasnât thrilled. She hadnât been for days. Not since she had been pulled aside and told about a plan of finding her a roommate because someone was concerned about her not making many friends here. It was laughable. And, honestly, Uma wanted to tell them straight that there were many things to be concerned about and this wasnât one of them. Whatever she had said in protest fell on deaf ears. She was cursing herself for it as she packed up the few belongings she did have into a duffel. Why was she moving rooms? Wasnât she being punished enough by getting a roommate to begin with? Why couldnât they come to her?
But then she was walking down a familiar hallway, duffel in hand, toward a door she also knew well. The young sea-witchâs eyes widened in horror because no, they hadnât gone there. Uma knew why the room was familiar. And as much as she enjoyed Allieâs company, and she got a feeling of satisfaction from helping the half-fae, this was a step too far.
The amount of cusses running through her head at that moment were endless.
Yes, sheâd been here overnight before â a few nights in fact â but the thought of not being able to escape the happy aura of Allie made her begin to panic. There was definitely a thing of being too happy and sometimes Allie was the epitome of it.
She had stood in the hallway for at least ten minutes. A part of her wanting to just turn back to her old dorm, lock the door, and never leave. But she knew someone would come looking when she didnât turn in for her classes, and this was the only option she had remaining.
Reluctantly, she knocked. A scoff on her lips because who knocked on their own dorm door? But here she was, doing just that.
Uma waited all of a second before she let her hand find the handle and pushed the door open, bringing herself and her duffel inside, eyes catching onto the bright aura of the room already. Great.
It wasnât long before she spotted Allie, â According to this, â Uma pulled a slip of paper from her pocket, holding it in her hand like it was going to explode at a moments notice, â Iâm your new roommate... â
â And just like that there was no going back from it.

There should have been surprise on her face when she walked in to find Allie standing on a chair trying to reach into the beams of their cottageâs ceiling. There should have been, but there wasnât at all.
Uma knew she would have gone looking for the sewing kit eventually. That Allie would get bored and find something with a hole in to patch up around their home. It wasnât uncommon at all.Â
Instead of surprise, sheâs miffed.Â
Standing at the side of the chair watching the half-fae stretch to reach the beam. Her hands are firm on her hips, lips pressed together in a tight line, eyebrows expertly high on her forehead.
Waiting was a game Uma was great at.Â
Biding her time as she stood there, her foot resisting the urge to give a nervous tap.Â
Of course, Kitty gives the game away. Walking into the room like any cat did with such confidence and neediness. Letting out a mewl looking for attention that startled Allie more than it had Uma.
There should have been surprise at the motion of Allie falling, but Uma was so instinctive that her arms moved from her hips to catch her instantly. Save her the pretty small drop to the hard wooden floor of their attic.
There should have been surprise at it all.
And yet, the only time she is surprised, is when she opens her mouth to let out a barrage of warnings and I told you soâs toward Allie, for she finds herself silenced by the half-faeâs lips pressed to her own.Â
For a moment, sheâs kissing back, because who wouldnât kiss Allie back?
Then sheâs catching herself in the action.Â
Pulling away because kisses confused feelings and Uma definitely should not be kissing Allie in return.
The girl is still in her arms, of course, bridal style, Uma doesnât dwell on the intimacy of the position theyâre in as she clears her throat, the sound resonating against the insides of her cheeks with her lips still closed around it.
â You, uh... hit your head on the way down or something? â She doesnât normally stumble to find her words, so sheâs very clearly flustered.Â
@petaledsheâ says: â audrey says we donât associate with people named linda. itâs just a rule. â âŒ
that  seemed  .  .  .  sort  of  mean.  maggie  didnât  personally  know  any  lindas,  but  what  was  wrong  with  them?  what  if  a  linda  was  her  new  best  friend?  the  exclusivity  of  it  all  âââ  WE  DONâT  ASSOCIATE  ââââ  makes  her  want  to  crawl  out  of  her  skin.  â  and  you  just  listen  to  her?  because  she  says  so?  â
@petaledsheâ says: â this is lawless land. â âŒ
she   hears   it   before   she   sees   it   â   a   war   cry   shout,   the   projectile   soaring   through   the   air   and   splattering   against   the   wall   behind   her.   then   she   feels   it.   droplets   of   freezing   cold   water   on   the   back   of   her   neck,   soaking   into   her   hair,   seeping   into   her   clothes.   auradon   prep   was   all   about   teaching   kindness,   civility,   chivalry.   there   was   one   day   a   year   where   all   of   that   went   out   the   window.   THE   ANNUAL   WATER   BALLOON   FIGHT.   you   didnât   make   friends   here,   you   made   battle   plans.   if   you   were   maggie,   you   made   sure   you   were   out   of   the   line   of   fire.
so   sheâs   stayed  posted   behind   her   barrier,   a   pink   water   balloon   in   her   grip.   she   glances   over   at   allie,   eyes   wide,   â   well   what   do   we   do?   how   many   of   them   are   out   there?   â   more   importantly   â   â   is   chad   out   there?   heâs   a   got   a   mean   arm   on   him.   â   she   learned   that   the   hard   way   when   she   accidentally   got   pelted   by   a   blue   water   balloon   meant   for   ben.

ITâS A MEME
@petaledsheâ said: sorry for calling you so late.
âitâs okay.â she moves to lay down on the bed with phone in hand, resting against her ear. she stretches out her legs with a soft sigh. âwhatâs going on? what do you wanna talk about?â because something is obviously up, something is wrong, otherwise why would her phone be ringing so late into the night?Â
â câmon , no oneâs going to post anything bad about you . everybody loves you . â ( @petaledsheâ )
