Thank goodness a window had been openâthere was no way Pixi was going to get anywhere with how badly it had started raining. She really needed to figure out a way around that; it would be really bad if she had to ditch in the middle of a fight just because the clouds decided to start crying on her. The room was empty, another small blessing. It was huge; the faerie didnât think sheâd ever seen a room this big before.Â
Flitting through the space, she was trying to figure out a good place to stay hidden until the storm let up before she caught sight of a cat staring at her. Normally, this would pose its own problemsâcats liked to think she was a bug of some kind, and she had to be careful to avoid them normallyâbut this was different. This cat couldnât be much bigger than she was, in all her four inch glory, and it was sitting in what looked like a small tin of cheese, looking absolutely incredulous.Â
