She screamed.
The headaches had returned to haunt her once again with images she didn't understand. Hands reached up to grab her head as she staggered back, teeth clenched tightly as the pain continued to throb with her racing heart. The images came pouring in all at once. The needles, the blood, the injections and test tubes, the wirings and computers, her dear uncle's face, the fires, the screams and cries soon accompanying these images. Voices full of agony and fear, sorrow and pain. Her ears rang and everything pulsed as the cries became unbearably louder. Her skin, clammy and cold, so sensitive to the beads of icy sweat that trailed down her body, and her breaths, short and raspy gasps for air. This... never before had this occurred. The nightmares she so often suffered from had moved to the next level of inflicting physical pain it seemed! Another scream as she fell on all fours.
Silence befell the surrounding land.
Short breaths calmed to a normal pattern, gaze locked to the ground, eyes hazed from what had just taken place. What... what was that? Memories she knew and didn't know, but those had all taken place within her uncle's lab in Userm...!
"---!!!"
Sora scrambled to her feet as the sudden rush shot up in her body, a hand concealing her trembling lips as she made her way to the nearest shrubbery. Her knees gave out just in time, collapsing right at the bushes as she removed her hand from her mouth and spewed it all out. Every disgusting emotion that swelled in her abdomen, every single sick sensation of negativity and grotesque shiver, all spiraled into one whole venom that was continuing to escape from her throat and out those pale lips.
The trees of Yukina Forest remained aloof of the commotion the red head had stirred up. The blue and white nature glistened with serenity, shining brightly despite the hour of night. Mismatched hues had regained proper focus as they stared up at the leaves of snow. Questions were stacking, and now was no longer the time to be hiding. Mentally punching herself in the face, she forced herself back onto her feet, reaching a hand back to make certain the Skygem was still perfectly in place. A cloudy childhood and questionable strength... Sora wanted answers. And she wanted them now.
The answers would be found in Userm: her birthplace, and the foggiest of her memories.
The decision had been made only two days ago and Userm was still a ways away from her current location, between Nuku City and Shintano. The fields were void of activity for the time being, but one could never be too cautious. The snapping of a twig to the right and her footsteps ceased immediately. Silently, swiftly, her hand reached behind and clasped onto the sword's handle. It was apparent tonight would bring about fools blinded by hunger.
A high pitched screech filled the air as the expected company jumped out to greet her.
