"Sometimes, you meet people, who make you know yourself better, thus bring you closer to Allah. Its not that they give you lectures, even if they are preachers, but its their mannerisms, their personality, and they way they treat you. And of course, youre probably imagining a virtuous, pious person whose actions speak a thousand words to you, or rather they imbibe the whole shariah. But, sometimes its not the saints that make you realise the status youre at in terms of your relationship with Allah. Its the sinners. Those who treat you wrong, who tramp over you, and make yourself known to you, for if you reacted in anger, then thats where youre at... A man who cant control his anger. And if you responded with observance and empathy, then thats your status, a man who governs his own feelings, not vice versa.
Sometimes you meet people, who make you question your own deeds.
Sometimes, they are sinners. They sin but remain servants of Allah. They fall down seven times, and stand up eight.
Thats something you need to pay heed to.
You have to learn to see the innate reality of things, not of the good only, but even the bad can teach you.
You have to figure out how the universe fits into you, carving itself, leaving footprints on your soul. If you fit into it perfectly, it might too.
Thats the rule of oppositional forces. The good can teach you. The bad too.
Theres Beauty, and the Beast. Theres beauty in the beast too."
