#perspective!!

sometimes I stop and realize how much of the self-reflection and subsequent improvement (at least I hope it has been) I've had in my life is directly a result of watching Centaurworld

an unexpected annoying aspect of 2020 in its final weeks: i can’t even refer to the Traditional Worst Work Week Of The Year as the worst week of the year, because this year I had a day where I got a phone call from a doctor telling me I might have cancer and a phone call from a DIFFERENT doctor telling me my cat had fatal heart disease (both walked back later, THANK GOD,) and I had TWO different days where I had to go to the ER very late at night during a pandemic because I thought I was dying, and I had a totally different day where I got on my knees in the rain and wept on the floor of a Trader Joe’s, and I had a totally different day where I got a positive COVID test result and thought I’d given it to my sister and that I was therefore not going to get my surgery (somehow also walked back!!), and then obvs I had a totally separate day where they yanked an organ the size of a pear out of my body via an incision in my belly button  which means that no matter how pitiful and put upon I feel for having to once again handle the annual Work Bullshit week, I have to, like, count my blessings and be grateful and whatever
