Ship It

1. What made you ship it?

It’s been so long since I started shipping these two that I don’t quite remember what drew me to them, specifically ;-; it’s been ten years—

What drew me back to them, upon rereading and rewatching, was what seems to go unsaid between them. They know each other really well by the time we meet them, Grimmjow knowing Ulquiorra especially. He knows his habits, enough that he can identify the killing blow given to Ichigo as being Ulquiorra’s doing. He’s clearly been watching him a lot.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

I love their dynamic so much. Grimmjow is two ranks below Ulquiorra—the difference in their power is astronomical—but that doesn’t stop him from actively challenging Ulquiorra. He backchats, he goads, he outright argues with him and he actually manages to get a rise out of Ulquiorra by doing it.

But there’s also the way Ulquiorra manages to reign Grimmjow in earlier on without a shred of violence. He just puts his hand over Grimmjow’s and places two fingers on the grip of his Zanpakuto, halting him with little effort. And despite his irritation, Grimmjow doesn’t fight him here. The panel of them touching is one of my absolute favourites for them—I love it so much ;-;

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Favourite character: Jotaro, although Hol Horse is a close second.

Least Favourite character: That one guy with the de-ageing stand. I forget his name but he was a creep.

5 Favourite ships (canon or non-canon): Jotakak, I don’t know the name for Jotaro and Star Platinum but. That, too.

Character I find most attractive: Dio

Character I would marry: mmmm none of them

Character I would be best friends with: any of the Crusaders; they’re so fun ;o;

A random thought: I wanted to see more of Dio using Jonathan’s stand, although I feel like his connection to it would have weakened as he gained more and more control over Jonathan’s body, so I understand why it wasn’t seen more.

An unpopular opinion: Jotaro has more emotions than just Stoic Grump, people are just too cowardly to admit it.

My Canon OTP: I don’t have one :(

My Non-canon OTP: I guess JotaKak but I don’t feel that strongly about it.

Most Badass Character: Jotaro by far.

Most Epic Villain: DIO

Pairing I am not a fan of: Again, I don’t really have one. I don’t look too much into shipping for this part so I don’t have any strong feelings.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Avdol’s return was kinda pointless. He showed up and then he died without really doing a great deal. I loved Avdol a lot but I felt like he should have contributed more upon his return than what he did because it felt like he was brought back for no real reason.

Favourite Friendship: The Crusaders as a whole I’m love them

Character I most identify with: Polnareff just wants to use a nice, clean toilet and I can respect that.

5 Favourite ships: BruAbba, GioMis, uuuh...I wish we could have seen more of Gelato and Sorbet? Also Sticky Fingers and Moody Blues. Yes I know that’s technically BruAbba again but ssshhh.

Character I find most attractive: Abbacchio

Character I would marry: I couldn’t take Abbacchio away from his husband 😩

Character I would be best friends with: I’d wanna be friends with any of Bruno’s team

A random thought: How cool would it have been for La Squadra Esecuzioni and Team Bucciarati to join forces to take out the Bossu 👀

An unpopular opinion: I’m not deep enough with this fandom to know what the unpopular opinions are and at this point I’m not sure I want to be

My Canon OTP: BruAbba. No you cannot convince me otherwise.

My Non-canon OTP: GioMis.

Most Badass Character: Giorno. That kid has balls.

Most Epic Villain: Diavolo is The Big Bad and I felt the whole way he worked was really cool... but honestly I would have preferred to have seen more of Risotto Nero instead. His stand was easily in my top five and was way more interesting than King Crimson.

Pairing I am not a fan of: I don’t actively dislike any pairing, mostly because I haven’t been over saturated by something I don’t care for by the fandom yet.

Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): I think Fugo should have come back before the end; it would have been nice to see him again outside of a flashback, although I do understand his reasoning for not joining the others.

Favourite Friendship: The whole of Bruno’s team u-u

Character I most identify with: Fugo trying to teach Narancia maths and losing his shit when he doesn’t get it is a whole ass #mood

5. first headcanon that pops into my head

Although it’s repressed, he still carries some trauma from being held in Sumdac’s lab. It gives him a fear of losing control and a fear of ever being without his voice, the one thing that managed to get him out in the end.

6. one way in which I relate to this character

God, this always a hard one... I guess it’s hard for me to really pinpoint one thing because he’s been a big part of my life for at least four years and I do have a deep connection with him and I understand why he did the things he did even if I don’t agree with it.

That’s the best answer I can give, honestly. ;-;

7. thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character

HE’S SO FUCKING SMART BUT HE FUCKS IT UP BY TRYING TO GET REVENGE ON SMALL FRY AUTOBOTS INSTEAD OF TAKING CYBERTRON BY SURPRISE
