In my teenage years I was lost. Maybe not as lost as a few of you because let's face it.. times change. Every generation grows in a different environment. I'm now 28 years old.
My advice to you is to focus on your growing your character. Find what you love and work on it obsessively. Educate your self one way or another. Read!!!
I don't read as much as I should but during my college education I had no choice. Regardless, if you were able to or even wanted to seek a higher education, you can always find a skill to develop. Also, on't be scared of debt, millionaires are rich because of debt... you'll understand soon.
We're all on a mission to find freedom, few of us find it. The reason for that is money, believe it or not. Don't even think for one second that money will buy you freedom. Freedom is found in the mind.
Money will actually place you in bondage. It is a Boa Constrictor, with every inch you give it, it squeezes you tighter until it takes your last breath. I'll show you the balance, don't lose me!
Find a career or job you enjoy, DO NOT overwork yourself. Every hour you have outside of work is critical to escaping bondage. DO NOT get distracted by drugs and alcohol or mentally-trapped friends.
DO NOT get trapped in the current way of thinking. "Work 5 days, kick back 2 days and start over". When you are not at work, you have an opportunity to establish a name for yourself. Most jobs want 40 hours of your life, you rest for 8 or less, wake up, work and usually get home with about 4 hours of freedom.
If you do not use your time wisely, you'll wake up one day in deep regret.
Plant many seeds, tend to them, watch them grow, let them bear fruit and share that fruit with everyone. Start a blog, start a youtube channel, be yourself, use what you have and ignore all the ridicule you will get. Remember, they don't want you to escape bondage. They want you in bondage with them- whether they realize it or not.
SAVE SAVE SAVE! Keep a steady income, use your earnings wisely, open a credit card with a 0% interest promotion. Don't over-utilize it. When your credit grows nearer to 700. Use the money you saved as a deposit towards a business or a home- start owning something and not renting!
Above all- have faith that the Lord will guide you through the darkness that IS this world.
