Those of you who follow my @alchemicalterror blog are aware of the current plotline that's shaken up Jonny boy's appearance a bit.

Marinette is the type of person who bottles up her stress and worries and go “this is fine” till its too late. One slip up, one mistake, and she thinks it is all her fault, catastrophizing and falling apart. She can’t trust anyone but herself, because her training to be Guardian has taught her that she can only trust her own decisions, and any disaster that happens under her watch is her responsibility.

Adrien is the type of person who grins and bears with it and says absolutely nothing because he’s been taught by his father that no one will listen to his worries. He’s taught to handle everything on his own, in secret, so no one knows. Because scandals ruin reputations and ruined reputations equal more Akuma so Adrien shuts his mouth and bears with it despite his distaste for a situation, thinking it will pass, not knowing that his coping method isn’t something that works for Marinette.

Chloe is the type who does anything to gain actual, positive attention from the role models in her life. Her mother doesn’t know her name, her father only shows her materialistic affection and fear, and Ladybug does try but she too is prejudiced against Chloe to truly give her a chance. So Chloe bitterly, resentfully, accepts Hawkmoth’s offer because even if it is toxic and tainted she gets the praise and attention she desires. It backfires on her greatly.
