I have a book idea that I came up with years ago inspired by the world of Anita Blake, and as I sit here writing it out, I don't know how "adult" I want it to be. Like, yes, the material is more mature in nature as its violent, but when it comes to the sexual aspect is where I hesitate. I originally planned to just include the smut when I came up with this idea (over a decade ago), but looking at it now, I'm not so sure. I mean, one of the reasons I stopped reading the Anita Blake books wad because of how focused on sex and smut it became. If I were to include a sex scene or two, would that make me a hypocrite?
perhaps it is just the influence of ~current events~ but there does appear to be a marked increase in the use of the free snack bin i maintain at work, which is good but also concerning and sad
For anyone who's wondering what's been happening since I was last on here (TW for sad shit?):
Moved house 3 times (1 time right as the pandemic started, 1 time into my old bedroom at my parents house and then to my own place in the tiniest village in the middle of nowhere).
Saw my shop close bc pandemic, moved to another shop, got fired, started doing catering for one of the largest corporations in the world, was so overworked I had a full-blown panic attack and wasn't allowed back.
Started an IT/AI course, got kicked out after 2 months and am currently home and unable to work bc my brain is a dick. And my nan's husband got sick and passed away today, so that also sucks.
BUT I have finally talked to Tim Key after more than a decade and I made a tit of myself, so there's that.
