I'm an interesting place with fandom in general. At times being all tumblr makes everything feel so over saturated and I'm getting, like, TOO MUCH of my shows at once. And I'm really exhausted from the discourse and negativity in general. Part of me wants to take a step back from Tumblr, but I also like the community that comes with it. I just find myself having a harder time engaging in my shows when it's all over tumblr lol it's a personal problem to deal with.
I understand. I feel the same way. Over saturated and all the drama making unimportant things too important.Â
Then I watch the show and I”m like OH YEAH THIS IS WHY I LIKE IT. FOR THE SHOW.Â
I’m working on finding a balance. It’s hard because I work at home and I procrastinate here and then I get too wrapped up. But I’m trying to remember. I have a creativity blog that I go to whenever I get too wound up by fandom, so I can keep scrolling/procrastinating, but focus on positivity and creativity instead of drama. Also working on including other science fiction on this blog which… still too obsessed with The 100.Â
It’s good to get some space when obsession takes over, I think. sometimes it goes too far and is no longer fun.
