where: at the MacNair manor when: a few days after the auction who: Walden MacNair and Perseus Pembroke ( @pembrokesseeker )
If you asked Walden, Percy winning him at the auction was the ending he desperately needed to save the night. Having lost both Brenton and Percy, Walden found himself in a rather foul mood. Of course, the vampire had enough money to outbid him. She probably has enough money to outbid everyone in the auction combined. Who even allowed her to participate? Regardless, Percy — thankfully not Brenton’s skinny ex — still won him. With that, along with the fact that he won Noah, in mind, Walden supposed it wasn't all too bad.
After the auction has finally ended, Walden sauntered off to find Percy before he could claim Noah. Unfortunately, Walden had no such luck. Percy was nowhere to be found. Same with Noah. At the end of the day, Walden had to go home all alone.
It would be days until Walden would see Percy again. He was sulking inside his study, winding down from the day with a glass of vodka in his hands when Percy unexpectedly walked in. “So, have you decided what you wanted to do with me yet?” he asked with bitterness in his voice. It was far from their usual dance of lust and flirtation.
