Well last night I had a dream that partly involved me being J.D’s protege 🤣 and I was trying to figure out how to survive burnout, but he was busy, so I couldn’t ask him directly (I tried, though.)
Cox was also around and actually kind of friendly/subdued, which was odd. I think he was waiting for more test results or something…but he offered me and some others dark chocolate, and there was a nut-free option, which was thoughtful.
Also Robert Downey Jr was there for some reason. I gave him a hug before I left😂😭

I think the most frustrating and heartbreaking dynamic of JD and Cox’s relationship is they both expect the other to respond and react like they would. JD wants an emotionally available and validating mentor/father figure and Cox assumes JD will accept his verbal abuse/harsh teaching with the same steely resolve that he has.
There are occasionally exceptions to this but only when they’re pushed past a certain point.
