Tell me about your permablimp. How'd that happen?
I'm glad you asked!!!! i drew these during work because it's easier to access my paper than my tablet, and tbh idk when I'd be able to effectively tell this story so I'll just do it now.
Airi Goodyear is a gecko employed at the furniture warehouse with golly. she's always been a careless airhead, worrying about the next boy she would be hanging out with than actually doing her job.
On one of her dating advents, it was a particularly stressful workday. while Airi dipped out of work to meet up with her newest fling. Gol's boss was making her work her shift as well, as she hadn't been back from her break in over an hour. Golly snuck out during her bathroom break to find an ominous zeppelin, towering over the city. As it turns out, her fling was a bio-terrorist hellbent on turning everyone into blimps, and she happened to be the subject of his newest formula.
(The skunk is an OC too, but one i have yet to properly introduce. It's not suuuuuper important right now.) Golly promptly dispatched of him, but not fast enough to stop Airi from becoming a balloon in and of herself. any sooner and she'd be a right and proper zeppelin, infecting others along with her.
Several hospital visits later, while proper deflation is possible for her if timely, her body seems to reinflate within mere hours. Vital organs seem to have been completely converted for the sake of developing more helium. They haven't found a cure for what she has yet if it exists at all without killing her, but it seems to be an extant of Blueberry Disease, so treatment was similar at least. Golly has incidentally found herself as Airi's keeper, having her be grounded whenever possible and her condition has proven useful for reaching things high up within the warehouse. of course, Airi seems not to have learned her lesson and this has only sought to cause her further trouble..... Though at the end of the day, I don't think Golly minds too much.
