15 Facts about the Perilore
This post is a follow-up to (x). 15 Likes is plenty of facts to share about Peri and her timeline, so here goes!
The Peri timeline splits from the regular TADC timeline after E02. From this point on, the gang goes on different adventures, including the one that accidentally leads to Peri's creation.
Pomni and Ragatha aren't an item when Peri comes into the picture.
Due to the unpredictable nature of Caine's adventures, Peri generally stays at the Circus with one adult watching over her. Caine doesn't particularly like that organisation, but it's not like he's volunteering to babysit.
Being a mesh of Pomni's and Ragatha's human data, Peri has more in common with players than NPCs. Technically though, she's a whole new, unique type of entity in the Circus.
Peri mostly takes after Ragatha, being outdoorsy, eager to be loved and having quite a temper. Still, she also shares a great deal of Pomni's curiosity and empathy.
Peri thinks she is a tomboy, but she's too much of a crybaby to qualify.
Similarly to Ragatha grabbing her hair, Peri grabs her hat whenever she is anxious, sad or scared.
Peri doesn't know what the word NPC means, and her mothers insist on not using that word around her. (Doesn't stop Jax from dropping it from time to time though)
Peri and her mothers mostly rest in Ragatha's room. Pomni is still adjusting to sharing a bed, especially with two people she is still getting to know, and she sometime needs a break back in her own room.
It takes a while for Peri to be comfortable around Kinger, due to finding him weird.
Peri hurts Gangle on several occasions, either by accidentally breaking her comedy mask or by asking uncomfortable questions. However, Gangle can't bring herself to dislike the kid.
Zooble starts loving Peri when they realize she is more than a gimmick.
Jax starts hating Peri when he realizes she is more than a gimmick.
Caine only acknowledges Peri when forced to, with none of his usual pizzazz, as his primary task is to entertain humans, not whatever she is.
In fact, Caine's apathy later turns to spite, for very personal reasons.
Finally, to answer @bahgasdump question, ("Idk if the same applies to NPCs, but just for gits and shiggles: What happens when she holds her breath?"), it'd be reasonnable to assume Peri would have a quirk when holding her breath, due to her human data. It took me a while to think about it, but, since she's technically a doll (a jesterdoll, you might say), I'm entertaining the idea that her skin would change to different textures and patterns, getting faster and faster until she gets dizzy - if witnesses don't first.
