like, when they’re having anxiety about restoring the farm and feeling kind of hopeless when they mess up, worried that they might not be able to do this? do you think shane would be reminded of himself when he was put in charge of his friend’s child?

just some food for thought because I think about this a lot.

I think when you first meet him obviously he's very closed off and private about his life. We don't know much about how Jas and Shane know each other, but he definitely loves Jas a lot and probably worries a lot about how he isn't the right person to take care of her/ isn't the worlds greatest role model. Once you start building hearts with him and getting to know him better, I think he would see the farmer as kind of.. Untouchable? Since they've done so much for him I don't think he would consider that maybe they're going through their own stuff too

But once you start dating/getting closer and he comes over to help out on the farm or just to see you and hang out, he would witness the kind of work you have to do everyday and the emotional toll it takes on you, I think that would make him see you differently but not in a bad way! He would, like you said, see himself in you and realize that you share some of his struggles

(as someone who gets panic attacks) I think the first time he'd ever witness the farmer get one, or just be extremely overwhelmed, I think he would be so patient and tentative, gently holding you, cupping your face- he might not know exactly what to do the first time but he thinks about how stressed he felt holding little Jas and realizing that this kid is going to depend on him. It's daunting. But he's not about to let you go through that alone, not when he knows you would do the same for him. i genuinely think Shane would be such a supporting partner because he understands your struggles and it's something you can both work through together :')

Ron from Accounting: Type 1 Diabetes, closeted gay (all people with suitcases have secrets) changed his last name after getting his job for fun. He/him cis man

Rattina: she/her She’s a (formally) closeted trans woman that was only out to Ratthew but told him to out her if she ever disappeared. Used to work in accounting with Ron, Ron didn’t hear from anyone that she was trans which is why he uses he for the Stalker. I believe (this is more theory but I’m putting it) that the Stalker is Rattina. I saw someone else say she has a crush on Intern and I’m stealing part of that. She’s very shy and just stares, and instead of immediately leaving like normal when seen she’ll often look at Intern longer, waiting for them to look away. Is fully sentient as the Stalker, but is brainwashed to serve the Corporation. The Doctor/Doctor Harrow is also brainwashed in this way :)

Liz: Lesbian and ADHD, loves donuts cis woman she/any in the doesn’t care way

Intern is of indeterminate gender and uses he/they.

The eye wall feels very sorry they caused pain after they get eye drops. They’re also a collective of sorts! they/them

Psychologist is nearsighted and autistic he/him cis man. Uncle of Intern

Paramedic uses contacts and has ADHD he/him trans man and is brothers with Doctor

Doctor (as in class) is he/him cis man and has the same exact eyeglasses prescription as Paramedic, but prefers the look of glasses. He also has a taste for fashion

Secretary is farsighted and dyes her wool. Is lesbian and in a relationship that is married in all ways except legally. Is also the oldest of all of them. She/her (unknowing) demigirl

Nurse is bi-curious and still figuring herself out she/her cis woman

Head Nurse and Secret Agent are siblings. Head Nurse is she/they demigirl and Secret Agent is no pronouns unlabeled

You cannot convince me that if Soren finds our that this weird, feral butterfly child is technically his brother that he is will do anything other than immediately and wholeheartedly accept it.

I need Soren introducing this funky little purple gremlin as his little brother. He'll be screaming in the background and Soren will proudly tell people how he's just kinda quirky.
