How and why did you started your business? This year I set a goal to become the fittest, healthiest version of myself. I have 2 children, a household to run plus a job. Like most ladies and especially Mums, life is busy. I fell in a trap of putting myself last. I decided to knuckled down and committed to 30 mins of my own exercises 5 days a week. I made it a non negotiable contract with myself and would you believe I FELT amazing and all my personal fitness goals came true. This was when I realised this is what I need to be doing. I need to help other woman feel this good. KC Fit is more than fitness. I believe it's about learning to love the skin you are in, confidence and a positive mindset. I incorporate meditation and discuss a lot of topics on the importance of a healthy mindset. Where do you currently operate from? I currently run outdoor fitness sessions in Leederville, Southern River and Baldivis. I will also be offering Personal Training / One on one session in the up and coming months. Where did your business name come from? I often get referred to as KC as they are my initials. I'm all about a fit lifestyle, so it all made sense. My best friend initially mentioned KC Fit and I just loved it! Sweet and simple. What do you find is the biggest challenge when owning you own business? I am honestly so grateful for all of the opportunities I have and find I am so passionate nothing yet has been a challenge, I am very lucky. Your best moment so far in your business? Oh, I don't even know where to start! Everyday is a GREAT day! I guess what makes me the happiest girl in the world is all of the heartfelt messages I receive from ladies who are achieving their goals with the guidance and motivation I give them. Helping other ladies feel their best, that's always the best moment! Your favourite quote or mantra I was once told " You can eat an elephant, one bite at a time". I always remind myself of this quote as ALL great accomplishments are simply hundreds of baby steps, one after another. What is your advice to Perth Women wanting to start their own business or turning their hobby into a small business? Absolutely GO FOR IT! Surround yourself with like-minded woman and enjoy the journey.
