The Greatest Show Reimagined

A battle of the brothers! This was one of the first performances that Funnel had ever planned, but held back on executing because he wanted things to be perfect before he pulled of something like this, striving to complete his quota of performers and technical effects and work before he brought this out of his planner again.

The show opens up normally, with Funnel addressing the crowd and smiling, but as the music mixes and warbles, the lights flicker and the performers all call out and react like they didn’t do so on purpose. A voice comes to life over the speakers, singing and possessing the performers further, and before anyone knows what’s happening, Roll Cake swings down on Funnels trapeze hoop and steals his hat off his head. He’s the ringleader now and makes a show of letting his older brother know as he chases after him, letting him get close before he “commands” the performers to hold Funnel back so he can have fun.

Bah, Bug and Hum!

One of the holiday performances! Funnel takes on the roll of the Postman while Dog Biscuit takes the role of Olive, padding after Funnel as he laments about the unimaginable hell he goes through around this time of year. It’s a very tech heavy performance, like most of the clown performances are, with heavy things dropping down for Funnel to both catch and hold as his knees shake and threaten to give out.

Thirsty

Thirsty is such a fun performance! Like most AJR performances, it was Roasteds idea and he enlisted the help of Funnel because he’s one of the Crackerjack Circus workers that knows how to yodel, but it’s also because Roasted needed someone closer to his weight to help him rock the big ass COUCH these two are sitting on. 

Daddy Knows Best

Originally partnered with Funnel for this performance, but when the ringleader sprained his ankle, Dog Biscuit was happy to find herself with Skittles acting as her borderline negligent and money-hungry father for the show. She knows that one of the only reasons he agreed to take Funnels place was because Funnel told him that he got to roll around and swim through money to his hearts content throughout the entire show, but she also knows that Skittles takes a very real and genuine delight in making her laugh during rehearsals.

It’s pretty similar to the stage musical, if you’ve seen it, with Skittles ignoring and interrupting Dog Biscuit almost completely and instead giving all that love to bags of money his copies keep popping up with and dumping throughout the ring. Dog Biscuit is padding after him and trying to keep his attention on her so she can talk about her feelings, but while he’s doing the backstroke with his copies through all these bills, she’s just about drowning in them. It’s a very impressive show vocals wise as well, with Dog Biscuit hitting notes that people didn’t think she could as she clings to Skittles both to keep from sinking into the pile of cash and to keep him from leaving her behind. 

Leaving Lonesome Flats

Leaving Lonesome Flats is a performance for one of the less fortunate schools and their charity event, with them having offered to pay him and his performers, but Jambalaya declining and instead just asking for lunch. You’d think it’d be just that, a simple performance of him and handful of the Red Bull Rodeo just singing, dancing, and playing instruments for this event, but when has Jambalaya ever been known to do something simple?

Soft Fuzzy Man

Honestly, it started as a joke between him and his ballerinas because of the mist and steam he would create, though specifically it was for a performance they were planning. Roasted brought the idea up to Funnel and, after the two of them laughed about it for like an hour, Roasted got permission to put on Soft Fuzzy Man as a solo act. To become the “soft fuzzy man” Roasted dons a completely white and blue version of his outfit and fills the tent up with steam and mist to make it hard to see him clearly, let alone see him completely. He controls both the mist and himself with his winds, being delightfully insufferable as he flirts (and it’s all purposely terrible) with the audience and just makes a playful nuisance of himself.
