Sad wizards, before the sadness [x]

I'm still on that spout lore kick! The main story line is hilarious and heart wrenching in spades AND there is a subplot with wizards and tragic love stories. It's compelling, what more can I say :)

"Perry," Morris says one night after extinguishing the reading lamp, "what's the deal with those boys?" Like a dog slavering at the sound of a bell, Perell starts climbing onto Morris the moment he hears the click of the lamp. But once his brain processes the question and its meaning ("the boys" being Tuk and Vyng, and "the deal" being "their entire relationship dynamic"), he knows that jumping Morris' bones can wait.
