water roars past his ears, through a blanket of warmth in sheets that ricochet off surfaces like bullets, soak the bottom of his jeans and fill up his shoes so full he might as well not be wearing any. to say it rains is to understate the tonnes of water that pour overhead. is it an entire ocean? just ... getting dumped on this side of tokyo? yes. definitely, with the way eyesight lasts all but the length of his arm.

Elyse! Instead of the usual Elise spelling, my parents went with a ‘y.’ I have no idea what the meaning behind my name is, but I’ve heard that it might be a shortened or alternate form to Elizabeth?

3.) What’s your favorite subject in school?

It was probably history. I really liked learning about the world and famous historical events and just sort of seeing where everything started.

ahhh good question! I have so many. Because I’m so bitter. I’m always salty. I’m 90% salt. I’m an Angry Lesbian™and most of the time fandoms are just so terrible (esp to female characters and f/f ships) so I try to enjoy the series itself while staying away from the fans. And it’s funny how certain NOTPs are just like “meh i don’t really care for this ship” but others ones are like “i want to wipe this from the face of the earth” fghksh but yes, here are my NOTPs

Single and not ready to flamingle. I’ve never dated or been in a relationship, and I’ve never really wanted to. Maybe I will some time, but not right now.

11.) If you only had 24 hours left to live, who would you spend it with and what would you be doing?

Oh man, I’d spend it with my family. Or maybe my family and the friends who live where I do. If it was possible, I’d want to meet all my online friends in person and see their beautiful faces at least one time before I die. I don’t think I’d go all out and try to do as many things as possible. I’ve lived an introvert and I’ll die an introvert lol. But really, I would just want to spend my last day in the comfort of my home and feel safe with the people who love me.

13.) What is your favorite type of flower?

TIGER LILLIES <3 I’ve loved them forever. I love most types of flowers.

15.) What is your current favorite show?

I just finished Breaking Bad and I’m still not completely over that yet since I was so in love with it. I’m currently watching Game of Thrones from start to finish with my mom since she hasn’t seen it, so probably that. Also Better Call Saul.

I can’t pick just one best friend, I have multiple best friends ;v; There’s @kessaichi, @thetxmeleaper, @yourdigitalbae, @aquachromatis, @theirunluckystars and there’s my irl friends Fiona and Vanessa. And so many more friends. I JUST LOVE ALL MY FRIENDS SO HERE’S A CHEESY SONG FOR ALL YOU GOOBERS

19.) Any advice you would give to your younger followers?

It’s a fact that most of the older people on this site are assholes. That goes for the internet as a whole, really. I’m nineteen and the people around my age and older love to bully younger kids. They see young teenagers having fun or saying/doing things that they deem “cringey” and “wrong” so they attack them. They love to make fun of young teenagers for doing embarrassing things.

They forget that they behaved the exact same way when they were that age. They did the same things and they were young and uneducated. They very likely had older people attack and bully them too. Now that they’re older, they’re like “oh hey, i get to pick on kids online now too!” I’m all for defending young teenagers on the internet, especially tumblr since it’s so awful.

I guess some of the advice I can give is to help educate each other. Don’t go screaming at each other and throwing around insults. If you’re unsure about something, you should ask someone for help and get some information. Despite how passive aggressive and rude a lot of people are on tumblr, there’s also a lot of people who will be genuinely happy to educate you and answer your questions. Being curious and unsure is only normal.

Coffee was something that Kaneki had a love/hate relationship for. At fist  he was not found of anything about it. The color was off-putting and the smell was revolting.. Every morning he would watch his mother drink a cup or two before she goes off to make money for themselves and her sister. One day he snuck a drink of it after his mother left and he was cleaning up, and for someone that young it was one of the worst things he had ever tasted in his little life. He, from then on, vowed to never drink coffee again. Of course as he aged up and needed something to help him keep going as he studied for classes and exams, he turned to coffee (only very very sweetened coffee with all the cream one could put in it to keep it from actually tasting like coffee) when needed and if he was out of energy drinks and had no time to go buy some more. 

Post surgery, when he found out that it was the only thing besides water that ghouls could drink without feeling the need to dispel it from their bodies, Kaneki was torn on if he should drink it or just stick to water every single day. The first day he went to the cafe, post surgery, and they put the “sugar” cube in it was the first day that his tongue actually tasted coffee. Due to the differences in taste buds, humans vs ghouls, he did not taste much of the bitter smell that he remembered smelling in his house while his mother was living, but instead tasted the human cube that was dissolving into it. 

Even without the cube, making it basically black, coffee had little taste to it.. It was not bitter, nor sweet, but not plain like water was. It was just there, coating his tongue with warmth and warming up his insides. He does not care much for it and does not go out of his way everyday to get coffee or even a few times a week.. If he happens to be around a cafe, or wanting something warm, he’ll go pick up a cup of it.
