Sasuke stumbled forward rubbing his eyes and holding out his free hand to avoid running into the blurred objects in front of him.
“Ko....?” He mumbled calling sleepily out for his twin. Normally they slept together, but Koneko had been angry, mad at their elder brother who had killed their clan. But Sasuke, Sasuke just couldn’t bring himself to hate him. Itachi had been too kind, too gentle, he hated fighting, to kill the clan as if they were no more then pigs for slaughter was...not possible. Sasuke took a different approach, he would focus on finding their brother and figuring out why, there had to be something they had missed...right?
He didn’t see his twin in the kitchen, and poking his head around the corner to the dining room revealed it empty as well. Training then? He guessed, probably with his team. Sasuke had taken a leave of absence, the constant fear and stress exhausted him.
Turning on the stove with a soft click he chewed on his bottom lip as he set to work. Knowing Ko either he would be home soon or not until lunch, in which a hawk would be sent. But it was always good to get breakfast ready.
The smaller raven, thin from the illness that gripped his body yawned. He didn’t let the sickness hold him back, he had know clan members who were great warriors who had the same disease and they didn’t let it stop them. He would do the same. Besides, Ko needed someone to lean on. Sasuke was not about to loose the only person he had left to the darkness, not again. He wouldn’t survive that. Being alone, was his worst fear.
