The stages I’m going through when facing a difficult boss in a FromSoft game
1st try: Oh this looks like a boss area. Oh it IS a boss area. No way I can beat them first try, I just gotta get a first impression.
2nd try: Okay this seems somehow managable if I memorize the attack patterns and don’t get too frantic
3rd try: This is not managable AT ALL holy shit
4th try: This is it. The one boss I’m not gonna get past. I’m not good enough and I probably have to stop playing
5th-15th try: *saying “This is the last try then I’m gonna quit” after every try. Just gererally being way too rash and greedy*
16th-20th try: Okay calm down now. Read the bosses attacks. Take it slow. Attack when it’s safe to do so. Don’t get greedy.
Somewhen after the 21st try, before starting the battle: Oh. Oh I’m getting the feeling. This is it, I’m gonna beat them.
Beating the boss: Huh. Turn out it wasn’t all that difficult at all.
