It wasn't often that Satin came to Hoenn, really. It wasn't that she didn't enjoy it - she just often didn't feel the need. Granted, the draw of contests was certainly appealing, so she could stick around for a while on that note, at least. In addition, the various caves seemed to hold different sorts of spirits than she was used to encountering - those from different regions always were different, honestly. Interesting, with new stories to tell.
Of course, not all of them were kind. She could enjoy the less benevolent ghosts from time to time - their antics were certainly amusing, granted that they weren't performed on her. Typically, they restrained, but whether it was respect for her abilities or fear for something else she couldn't be sure. Perhaps they could simply tell she was a fellow trickster.
But she wasn't always so lucky.
Stepping off of her ship, Satin blankly gazed around at the surrounding crowds that rushed by like water. Her Meowstic sat comfortably in her arms, unwilling to be lost among the crowd, and she idly rubbed the top of his head as she moved along at an unhurried pace. Chatter and activity surrounded her, making her slightly uncomfortable - she was occasionally jostled from side to side by someone in a bit too much of a hurry, and she sent them dark looks before carrying on her way.
Quite rude, she mused to Mr. Fleece, who let out a soft purr of agreement. Could do with a little bit less haste... She shifted, pulling her scarf a bit looser as they came into the sun. While there was still a chill, it could get horribly stuffy at times. The sea breeze felt nice against her neck, anyhow. She slowly glanced about once more, considering where she might wish to go next. Slateport was a hustling little market - too active for most things that interested her, she was certain. Perhaps elsewhere...
No sooner had she thought that than her scarf was suddenly unwound from her neck, and she blinked rapidly, her eyes darting until she found it - quickly hurrying away with her, with a child's ghostly outline gripping it in glee. "Stop immediately!" she barked after it, making several people stop and look at her, but she shoved past them in pursuit. Many stopped to avoid hitting her; others swerved entirely; and soon, she'd gotten out of the more crowded section in favor of an emptier section. She kept her ghostly eye centered on the white retreating form, the other closing to better concentrate, when-
WHAM!
She ran directly into someone, and whatever specter had carried away her precious scarf had disappeared as she fell to the ground, Fleece rolling beside her.

It was uneasy, nervous, anticipatory. The atmosphere, that is. Naomi could hardly believe this was happening. Brandishing her PokeNav, she opened it for what seemed to be the hundredth time, checking her notifications. Seeing none, she couldn't help but bite her lip. She knew that Annabella would arrive soon but the suspense was indeed killing her. Hastily, she typed out a string of messages, querying Annabella on her arrival.
[text] :0c hey when will u be here?
[text] haha sorry im just pretty excited!
Now it was up to the hours, or in this case the minutes. Making use of these spare moments, Naomi began recalling the events that culminated to the meeting. They'd began texting each other about a month ago, about small, trivial things, really. In fact, Naomi barely could remember the first conversation they exchanged. Woops. It was probably something silly, as all of their conversations were. That aside, though, it was through banter and casual chats that they became fast friends. They'd text each other on a pretty regular basis, so when the topic of location had come on and it was revealed that they both were in the same region, Naomi was overjoyed.
[text] look u have to come here!!
[text] we arent even regions apart cmon u can roll over here in a jiffy
[text] okay maybe a few days but still
To her elation, Annabella had agree and was skating over to Lilycove as she was ruminating. The journey took a long while, as the cities themselves ran across long routes, but thankfully it was about to end. Standing at the designated city entrance, Naomi looked around eagerly. Checking her Pokenav once more, she curled her toes. No reply yet. Annabelle was probably preoccupied, or focused on skating, she guessed. Or maybe, just maybe... was Annabella round the corner?
Tiptoeing, Naomi vaguely registered the blurry silhouette of a female, approaching Lilycove at a pretty fast pace. Was that her? Feeling a surge of enthusiasm go through herself, Naomi ran over her planned events for the day. There was plenty to do in Lilycove, from Contests to the Museum, the shopping, Pokemon Fan Club, et cetera. Pondering over what she knew about Annabella, Naomi decided on participating in a Contest, but as she wasn't certained, she wrote all that could be done a list and wanted to show it to Annabella. Hurriedly, she brought the paper out of her schoolbag, which she carried around out of habit, and held it tightly in her hand.
Hopefully her emotions wouldn't prevent her from being coherent. In an attempt to calm herself down, Naomi then let her Paras, Ribbons, out and scratched its firm exoskeleton affectionately. Reciprocating the action, Ribbons let out a joyful cry. Seeing her Paras's relaxation, Naomi felt her anxieties settle. This wasn't going to be too difficult, after all.
