These Pepper Steak Pies are a savory and satisfying treat. Tender slices of beef are cooked with peppers and spices, then enclosed in flaky puff pastry and air-fried to perfection. They make for a great snack or appetizer for any occasion.
Ingredients: 500g beef steak, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1 onion, finely chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced. 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced. 1 teaspoon black pepper. 1 teaspoon salt. 1 teaspoon paprika. 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme. 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. 1/2 cup beef broth. 2 sheets puff pastry. 1 egg, beaten for egg wash.
Instructions: Warm the olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat. Add the garlic and onion that have been chopped up. Saut until the onions are clear. Add the beef steak slices that are very thin and cook until all sides are browned. The black pepper, salt, paprika, dried thyme, and Worcestershire sauce should all be mixed in. Add some more minutes of cooking and keep going until the peppers are soft. Add the beef broth and let it cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until the sauce gets thick. Get your air fryer ready by heating it up to 350F 180C. You can cut the puff pastry sheets into circles or squares, whichever you like better. On one half of each piece of pastry, put a spoonful of the pepper steak mixture. To make a turnover or pocket, fold the pastry over the filling. To seal, press the edges together. Mix an egg and brush it on top of the pies to make them golden. Leave some space between the pies when you put them in the air fryer basket. For 10 to 12 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and crispy, air fry at 180C 350F. Enjoy your tasty Pepper Steak Pies while they're still hot!
